LOOK UP

Gospel of Luke 4:31–36

Then Jesus went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began teaching the people.
The people were amazed at His teaching, because His words had authority.

In the synagogue there was a man possessed by an unclean demon. He cried out in a loud voice,
“Ha! Jesus of Nazareth, leave us alone! What do You want with us? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet and come out of him!” Then the demon threw the man down before the people and came out without harming him.

All the people were amazed and said to one another, “What kind of teaching is this? With authority and power He commands unclean spirits, and they come out!”

And news about Jesus spread throughout the surrounding area.
